The Smell & Taste Lab is pleased to share our successful participation in the 19th International Symposium on Olfaction and Taste (ISOT) 2024, which took place in Reykjavik, Iceland, from June 22-26. This prestigious event, organized by the European Chemoreception Research Organization (ECRO), brought together global research leaders in sensory science, and we were honored to be part of this influential gathering.

The symposium featured an impressive 72 hours of keynote lectures, symposium talks, and oral presentations, alongside 360 research posters from renowned institutions and research teams worldwide. These sessions covered a wide array of topics, from cutting-edge research in animal studies to significant insights into human health and sensory perception.

Our Research and Key Engagements

Our team proudly presented our latest research, titled “Can Fragranced Cosmetics Influence Well-Being and Self-Confidence of the User? And Is It Perceived by the Close and Broader Circle of the User?” This study, developed in collaboration with Mageline, explored the profound effects of fragrance on personal well-being and social interactions, resonating with attendees and contributing to the broader discourse on the impact of sensory experiences in daily life.

During the event, we had the privilege of engaging with some of the most respected researchers in olfaction and taste research, including Moustafa Bensafi from France, Thomas Hummel from Germany, and Noam Sobel from Israel. Their work continues to inspire and challenge us as we advance our own research and innovations in the field of olfaction and taste.
