La Suisse est leader mondial de l’innovation depuis 2011 [FR] [EN]

Chaque année, l’Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) classe les performances en matière d’innovation de près de 130 pays du monde entier en examinant à la fois les conditions nécessaires à l’innovation et les nouvelles créations qui en résultent.

Cette année encore, et depuis 2011, la Suisse s’est classée au 1^er rang du Global Innovation Index (GII) pour ses investissements particulièrement élevés dans la recherche et pour le développement et la haute qualité des universités locales comme les Ecoles Polytechniques de Zurich et de Lausanne. Par ailleurs, la Suisse est particulièrement bien classée en termes d’innovation dans le domaine de la connaissance et de la technologie. En examinant les demandes de brevets déposées dans le monde entier, la Suisse partage la première place avec la Suède et la Finlande. De plus, les innovations de la Suisse sont de grande qualité et se classent au quatrième rang mondial dans cette catégorie.

Au classement général, la Suède et les Etats-Unis sont en 2^ème et 3^ème position. Dans le top 10 figurent également les Pays-Bas, le Royaume-Uni, la Finlande, le Danemark, Singapour, l’Allemagne et Israël.

Le GII a été publié par l’OMPI, l’INSEAD et l’Université Cornell.

Switzerland is innovation world leader since 2011 [EN]

Every years, the Word Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ranks the Innovation Performance of nearly 130 economies around the word, examining the necessary condition for innovation and the new creations that result from innovation.

This year once again, and since 2011, Switzerland has ranked 1^st in the Global Innovation Index (GII) for its particularly high investment in research and development and for the high quality of local universities such as polytechnic schools in Zurich and Lausanne. Moreover, Switzerland is particularly well ranked in terms of innovation in the field of knowledge and technology. Examining patent applications filed worldwide, Switzerland shares first place with Sweden and Finland. In addition, Switzerland’s innovations are of high quality, ranking fourth in the world in this category.

In the overall ranking, Sweden and the United State are in 2^nd and 3^rd position. In the top 10 is also ranked the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Finland, Denmark, Singapore, Germany and Israel.

The GII was published by WIPO, the French business school INSEAD and Cornell University.
